These schedule 40 PVC adapters come in a range of configurations to connect pipes of all types. Whether you have slip socket ends on your pipe or threaded ends, you can find an adapter to match. We carry both male and female threaded adapters and male and female slip socket adapters, as well as several combinations of these configurations.. Should you need to connect two pipes of different diameters, we also stock reducing adapters. Adapters are available in diameters from 1/2 inch to 8 inches.

Schedule 40 PVC adapters are the preferred adapter option for applications where a reduction in flow is not wanted. The smooth interior of these fittings allows for the connection of two pipes without any unwanted friction inside the adapter, thus creating little disruption in the rate of flow. While reducing adapters will lessen the flow because they are reducing the volume, PVC adapters will not add any friction to the mix.

Also, these adapters are popular because of their corrosion resistance. They are often used in irrigation and other underground applications because they will withstand the wear and tear common when exposed to elements in the soil. They can also be used to connect pipes in industrial settings that are carrying corrosive materials, as long as the maximum temperature for schedule 40 PVC is not reached. This versatility combined with the affordability of these fittings makes them a popular option when two pieces of pipe need to be connected.
