PVDF Fittings

Wholesale PVDF Fittings

PVDF fittings are available in a wide range of sizes and types. Fitting styles include stress relieved pipe, molded butt weld fittings, fabricated fittings, and molded socket fittings to accommodate a wide range of industrial pressure piping applications. PVDF stands for polyvinylidene fluoride or polyvinylidene difluoride, which is a specialty thermoplastic material that is typically used in applications that require the highest strength, purity, and resistance to acids, solvents, and bases.

PVDF has excellent chemical and physical properties such as, high abrasion resistance, resistance to many inorganic acids and bases, resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and halogenated solvents. PVDF is also a non toxic material, making is useful for high purity applications like food, pharmaceuticals or laboratories.

PVDF Temperature Resistance

Another property that makes PVDF desirable is its ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures. PVDF can handle applications from -40˚F to 280˚F! That's much higher than PVC (max temp 140 F) or even CPVC (max temp 200 F). PVDF fittings are lightweight and easy to install using a heat fusion technique. When compared to other plastics and metal fittings, PVDF outperforms and offers a significant cost savings that you can depend on. Typical applications where PVDF fittings are used are with ultra-pure water, deionized or distilled and demineralized water systems, pharmaceutical operations, food processing, and chemical processes.

Stress Resistance

The PVDF systems we offer are excellent choices for stress relieved pipe and fittings. Simtech, one of our trusted manufacturers, use a unique annealing process to create a superior PVDF product. Get reduced stress damage, better resistance to chemicals, and better impact resistance than polypropylene and even other PVDF products. Plus, these systems are more cost effective than alternative materials like fiberglass, exotic allows, CPVC or steel.
