For lines that need to be run continuously, the Eaton Model 53 BTX Duplex Strainer is perfect. You will never need to shut off a line to clean the basket. With a simple turn of the handle switches operation to the other basket chamber, allowing you to change or clean the basket not in use. The Model 53 BTX is compact and fits in small spaces while still providing full-sized strainer baskets. Standard baskets are made of Type 316 stainless steel. If needed, we also have Monel, Brass, or Hastelloy C materials. Duplex strainers are ideal for batch or continuous process applications.

Duplex Basket Strainers

Eaton's model 53 BTX is a duplex style strainer. This is the name for basket strainers that are designed to be able to divert flow from one chamber to another. This allows for cleanout of the unused basket without shutting off the supply to the pipeline. For some applications duplex strainers are necessary due to the need for constant flow.
