Brass Gate Valves
Gate valves are most commonly used as shutoff valves. That means they are great for applications that require an easy on/off function with a reliable seal. They have bi-directional function, meaning they can shut off flow from either direction. Brass gate valves can handle pressure up to about 200 psi.
Gate valves are available in two different stem types. There is the rising stem and a non-rising stem. A rising stem will physically rise when the valve handle is turned to the open position. This gives an easy indication of the valve position, but it’s not always feasible in close quarters. Our brass gate valves feature a non-rising stem. This means the handle stays at the same height in both the on and off positions. For applications that require a compact valve this is best.
