A Wafer Check Valve, or dual plate check valve, offers ease of maintenance and exceptional flow characteristics with the dual plate valves that give maximum strength with minimum opening time. The one piece design is available in metal or plastic materials to provide appropriate corrosion resistance for your application needs.
When choosing the correct valve for your needs it is important to note the cracking pressure in the application the valve is being used for, check valves are each designed for a specified cracking pressure which the value is able to operate up to. A Wafer check value does not have a handle or exterior lever to operate the unit, it is an automatic function of the unit. Full contact seats maintain positive shut off at minimum working pressure and torsion springs assist the valve closing function to prevent flow reversal. Wafer check valves are available in a wide range of sizes and price levels, but are typically small and simple pieces that are highly cost effective. The Type 369 wafer check valve is an ideal solution for a variety of applications. Mounted between two ANSI flanges, the design of the Type 369 allows for easy installation or removal in the field. The valve is available in versions with or without springs. The spring loaded version works well in horizontal installations where many check valves may not function. With the standard 316 stainless steel spring or the optional Hastelloy C, the valve can be subjected to a large variety of chemical mixes. The Type 369's wide size range of 1 1/2" to 12" makes it a perfect fit for many demanding industrial applications.
