Beam Clamps
Beam clamps are commonly used in heavy construction, with the primary function of securing steelwork and strengthening pipework and cable trays by allowing them to be safely attached to an overhead I-beam. Capable of securing fairly heavy loads, beam clamps come in a variety of weight capacities and are highly versatile for a wide range of projects.
Threaded Rods
Threaded rods also go by the name “threaded studs” and are primarily used as fasteners to hold together more than one object. As the name suggests, a threaded rod — usually relatively long, at least 1 foot in length — has threading on each end, occasionally being threaded from one end to the next. Threaded rods are often used in assembly and disassembly projects, as well as repair jobs that require parts to be firmly secured together during a project. Threaded rods are common in manufacturing, automotive and construction, as well as electrical and plumbing. They are also very well suited for any pipe-hanging project.
C-Clamps
C-clamps, occasionally referred to as G-clamps, are very common in construction projects and are also useful in pipe hanging. A C-clamp, which gets its name from its C shape, is used to snugly hold together wood or metal for various purposes: often carpentry, welding and pipe hanging. Made from heavy steel, C-clamps include a threaded screw component threaded through the bottom that allows it to be easily tightened and securely clamped. Like beam clamps and threaded rods, C-clamps are available in a wide range of sizes to be used in a number of applications.
