Our slip/socket style 45 elbows are part number 9817. These fittings require CPVC solvent cement for installation. Our threaded 45’s are part number 9819, and they work in conjunction with a male threaded end. All our fittings and valves are NPT, so they are made to fit together.
Elbows are used to create a bend in a pipe line. Sometimes 45 degree elbows are used to create a more gradual bend than a 90 elbow. As the name implies, each end is situated at a 45 degree angle from the other. The result is a bend that is half as sharp as a 90 elbow would create. You can find CPVC fittings like this in industrial applications across the world. The thick walled schedule 80 CPVC makes for a high pressure and very resistant pipe material.
