Schedule 80 PVC Wye's

When two chemicals need to be mixed into one cohesive line, Schedule 80 PVC wyes work well. Wyes can also split flow into two different directions, making these an important fitting for factories and chemical mixing applications. These Schedule 80 PVC wyes meet ASTM D1784 standards and are NSF-14 certified.

Wyes get their name from their shape, which resembles the letter y. these fittings have a branch that splits off at a 45-degree angle, either to allow flow to go in two directions or to introduce a new fluid to the mix. Because of the 45-degree angle, the flow is split with a minimal loss of pressure and friction. This makes wyes a popular choice for wastewater systems, where flow interruption can create serious problems.

These Schedule 80 PVC wyes are made from one seamless piece of Schedule 80 PVC, with no welding, which is common with metal wyes. This means the interior is smooth and creates little friction, so the rate of flow is not disrupted. The strong Schedule 80 material works well in high pressure or high temperature settings. Wyes with the same diameter for all three ends are available, or wyes with differing diameters at the opening and on the arm are also available. The diameter sizes range from 1 1/2 inch to 8 inches.
