The Eaton Model 72L Tefzel Plastic Lined Strainer is an excellent, low-cost alternative to pricey alloy strainers. The body and cover of this strainer are lined with Tefzel, a kind of plastic with high corrosion resistance. Use the Model 72L in corrosive lined pipe applications such as hazardous materials, paper mills, waste water treatment, flue gas systems, and chemical or petrochemical processing. Comes with either a Tefzel coated basket or one made from Monel or Hastelloy C. The Model 72L has a quick open cover to quickly access the basket for cleaning or changing.

The model 72L is in the simplex family of strainers. Simplex basket strainers require the shut down of the pipeline for basket changing or any maintenance. The second strainer family, duplex strainers, can divert pipe flow to an auxiliary chamber for a constant flow even during basket cleaning.
