Carbon Steel Butterfly Valves
(0 products)Valves for Industrial Applications & Use
You can purchase carbon steel butterfly valves for any application from CIS. These valves are durable and will perform in the toughest situations. We provide resilient-seat valves from Max-Seal from three series: ISO, Chem Tek, and Chem Flo. The Chem Tek series is available in high quality carbon steel. This series is designed to withstand corrosion from the outside and is build with only the strongest materials. Our carbon steel butterfly valves are available in 2”-12” sizes.
Carbon steel is a steel variant with a relatively high percentage of carbon content. Carbon steel is known for its extreme durability and excellent heat distribution. It is very commonly used in manufacturing and production of all kinds. Carbon steel is nearly impossible to break, which makes it perfect for high-demand applications. The maximum service temperature of most carbon steel alloys is 1400F (760C), which makes it great for high temperature applications. Our Max-Seal butterfly valves are available in many materials, including carbon steel.
Butterfly valves are an exceptionally useful type of valve. The butterfly valve is a quarter-turn valve that is made up of a disk that rotates around a central axis. This axis is called a “stem.” The sides of the disk on either side of the stem somewhat resemble wings, which is where the butterfly valve gets its name. When the disk stands parallel to the flow of liquid, the valve is open. When the disk is perpendicular to that flow, the valve is closed. These butterfly valves are designed for easy actuator mounting, so you are able to specifically control your system.
