CPVC Check Valves

(41 products)

CPVC check valves prevent backflow automatically and are built for systems that exceed the temperature, pressure, and chemical limits of standard PVC. We stock true union ball check, swing check, and wafer check valves in sizes from 1/2" to 6" for Schedule 80 CPVC pipe.

Why Choose CPVC Check Valves?

CPVC is rated for continuous service up to 200°F, far beyond standard PVC's roughly 140°F limit, making these valves suitable for both hot and cold water lines. The material resists corrosive chemicals (acids, bases, salts, and halogens) better than PVC or metal, which is why it is the standard in chemical processing and water treatment. Unlike metal check valves, CPVC will not rust, pit, or scale, and its smooth interior wall creates less flow restriction. Our CPVC valves meet ASTM D2846 standards, and select models carry NSF 14 certification for potable water service.

Types of CPVC Check Valves

True Union Ball Check Valves use a free-floating ball that seats automatically against backpressure. The true union body allows in-line servicing, so you can remove and replace internal components without cutting pipe. Available from 1/2" through 2" in Cepex, Flui-PRO, and Sanking models. Cepex and Flui-PRO valves include both socket and threaded end connections. Pressure rated up to 240 PSI at 73°F.

Swing Check Valves use a hinged disc that opens with flow and closes under reverse pressure. These are designed for larger industrial pipelines and are available from 2-1/2" through 6" with socket weld or flanged end connections. Industrial swing checks feature stainless steel hardware and are available with either EPDM or Viton seals. Pressure rated at 150 PSI at 73°F.

Wafer Check Valves use a compact dual-plate design that fits between flanges, making them a space-saving option where installation room is limited.

Sizes, Connections, and Seals

  • Sizes: 1/2", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3", and 6". Availability varies by valve style.
  • End connections: Socket weld (solvent cement), threaded (NPT), and flanged (with flange kits on select swing check models). Several ball check models ship with both socket and threaded ends included.
  • Seal materials: EPDM is standard and suits water and general-purpose service. Viton seals are available on swing check valves for applications involving solvents, fuels, or aggressive chemicals.
  • Pressure ratings range from 150 to 240 PSI at 73°F depending on valve type and size. Ratings decrease at elevated temperatures. Contact us for specific de-rating guidance.

Common Applications

  • Chemical processing and plating
  • Water and wastewater treatment
  • Fire protection and sprinkler systems
  • Pool and aquarium filtration
  • Pump, filter, and equipment protection
