Stainless Ball Valves

For demanding conditions and high pressure applications, stainless steel ball valves are a good choice. Stainless Steel can handle temperatures from -25F to over 400F, not to mention pressure ratings of around 1000 psi. That’s a tough little valve. Our stainless ball valves are full port. This means your flow won’t be restricted when the ball valve is open. These are quarter-turn valves, so operation is as simple as turning a handle 90 degrees. If you want to restrict flow, these ball valves feature a locking handle that can be partially turned.

How Our Full Port (SS) / Threaded Ball Valves Work

Our stainless steel ball valve products feature a blow-out proof stem and lockable handle for easy, reliable use. They are also easy to install with threaded connection ends. How does a ball valve work? Inside the valve body is a “ball” that turns when you turn the handle outside. This ball has an opening in the center that can be turned to an on or off position.

On a full port ball valve when the valve is “on” the opening in the center of the ball is the same size as the surrounding pipe. This means there is no restriction on your normal pipeline flow. It’s like there’s no valve there at all!
