These valves are available with a variety of different seat materials, including BUNA, EPDM, VITON, and PTFE, with pressure ratings up to 200 WOG. The stainless steel body of the Chem-Tek Series of butterfly valves is designed to perform consistently in all types of environments with little need for maintenance or replacement.

These innovative valves have a semi-lug body design, which is a crossover from wafer to lug; all Chem-Tek valves have four drilled and tapped lugs. This is ideal for making sure your valves are aligned perfectly. The semi-lug design also makes them weigh and cost less than a full lug valve would. Another great advantage of this design is that these valves can remain in piping systems when one side of the piping is removed, which makes assembly and maintenance simple.

The Chem-Tek series of corrosion-resistant butterfly valves are designed for ANSI Class 125/150 flanges. This series comply with MSS-SP25, MSS-SP67, and API609 specifications. They are also up to MIL-V-22133C(ship) Type 1, Class A-D standards. The pressure rating for sizes 2”-12” is 200 psi, making them strong enough for practically any industrial or commercial applications.

The one piece body design with an extended neck allows clearances for flanges with 2 or more inches of insulation. Standard handles for this series are made of aluminum up to 6”; other handle materials are available as well. As with all Max-Seal valves, the Chem-Tek series is designed to be compatible with a wide range of actuators and automation systems. The casting mount flange offers an ISO 5211 mounting bolt circle. For corrosive environments, you will not find a better valve than a Chem-Tek butterfly valve.
