Steam Jacketed strainers are used to keep materials hot that need to remain fluid such as chocolate, resins, polymers, and asphalt. This Eaton Model 72SJ Steam Jacketed Strainer maintains its temperature by circulating steam or a heat transfer fluid through the strainer jacket. Just like the Model 72 basket strainer it’s modeled after, it has a large basket capacity that’s easy to access with the hand removable cover. The Model 72SJ strainer body has either a carbon steel or stainless steel jacket welded to it, withstanding pressures up to 100psi.

  • Choose basket mesh or perforations (1/32" - 1/2" or 20 - 400 mesh) • Choose from Viton, TFE, EPDM seals
  • Optional vent valves, drain valves, or 1/4" NPT taps • Monel baskets optional

Simplex Basket Strainers

The model 72L is in the simplex family of strainers. Simplex basket strainers require the shut down of the pipeline for basket changing or any maintenance. The second strainer family, duplex strainers, can divert pipe flow to an auxiliary chamber for a constant flow even during basket cleaning.
